The first thing I noticed when I received the First Mate from GoodVibes.com the other day, was how freakin’ realistic it was. This is darn near perfect, if you ask me. Measuring in at 7” long and 1.5” wide with a perfectly sculpted head with a beautiful corona and prominent (but not too prominent) vein ridges, it’s almost a little too real! It’s available in four colors for your skin tone preference: vanilla, caramel, coffee, and black. I have caramel, and it matches Hubby quite well. It’s also a ‘girthier’ dildo, and if you remember, I like ‘girthy’ because ‘girthy’ is ‘normal’ around here.
The only thing that’s not realistic about the First Mate is the “erection quality.” It’s quite hard, but mildly flexible. There’s no “squish” when you squeeze it, but that means you’ve got plenty thrusting power and something to squeeze against when it’s inside you if you so choose.
Made of superior-grade silicone, this non-toxic, hypoallergenic, phthalate-free dildo is non-porous and easy to clean. You can put the First Mate in the dishwasher, boil it, bleach it, wash it in warm soapy water, or use your favorite toy cleaner. Be ware, it’s not the most fuzz-less silicone toy, but it’s not the worst. It didn’t really pick up fuzz balls, but hair does stick to it. Use only non-silicone lube as silicone lube will break down silicone toys. We all know I recommend water-based lube.
The First Mate is both anal-safe (high quality silicone and a well-flared base) and harness-compatible (O-ring style harness) so this dildo can find a use in anyone’s arsenal. The flared base doesn’t have any suction attributes, so you will need an additional suction cup if you would like to use it on the wall or floor of your shower or tub.
The packaging is a basic plastic clamshell with a molded insert for stabilizing the First Mate, along with a thin cardboard insert that tells a little about the First Mate. I presume it is all recyclable, although we don’t have recycling in our immediate area. It seems to be stable enough to use for storage, at least for a while, even though it’s pretty bulky.

Good review! I requested this one in Coffee, I think. Or maybe it was Black? I wanted to see what the colors were like in person, I mean just because you see the color online doesn't mean it's not a bit off or whatnot, you know what I mean?
Hopefully this one fares better for me than the Captain did ( I'm still sadden about that, lol ).
